This was a very basic design sketch for the homepage of this website. So far, it hasn't wandered far from the structure of the layout, but I may change that over time. I wanted something that was simple and basic in the design

Some of the buttons to other pages are not precisely in the same order on the actual webpage in relation to this sketchbook page.
This was the layout design for the David Crosslnad FontForge workshop page. Not much has really changed from this idea albeit the inclusion of the borders around the images.
A pagination icon design to put on each page to lead to the first page. This was a computerised version of the one to the design to the right.

For the style, I was partially inspired by the handwriting/logo on the front of Daft Punk album covers.
This design was for the development works page. It doesn't look all too much different from the final outcome of the page, but it was simply too cluttered looking in this design with three columns and the pieces of look didn't look good when shrunken down and small, so I simply opted to go with two columns instead.
Development of the design below.
Finished digital version of the pencil design a little below to the right.
Finished digital version of lower case ai (Authorship & Interaction, no Artificial Intelligence) of the pencil design to the right, a little lower. This one takes influences from the right initial sketch as well.
Pencil design of a 'step back' button. I was unsure of this design, since it looked too much like a button you'd find on a malware ridden pop-up.
Pointing hand 'step back' design.
Overly simple and obvious 'step back' button design.
Tried to make this one like somewhat like a house with the letter 'a' to symbolize going back to the homepage.
Pointing hand 'step back' design alternative version.
An initial design, very simple to go with the general simple look of this site.
Painfully simple, gratuitous arrow 'step back' button design.
An initial design for the lower case ai button.
Initial sketch of the design as seen left, above. Honestly, I sort of prefer the pencil version, but it wouldn't work for an online page.
This one kind of reminds me a little bit of a globe somewhat covered in clouds. It's one of my favourite initial ideas.
Initial pencil sketch of the digital design as seen left.
A design for the freeware/opensource program page. I was quite fond of this design and idea behind it, but I wasn't quite able to get my head round installing a drop down menu, managing to get CSS to work and all that into hotglue. Weirds me out. and without that, it sort of looked silly...
The actual initial design of my development works page. The only difference is that I'm not completely set on total neatness on how I layout the development works page. I like to have a mixture of neatness and a mess and I think my current development page matches that.
Another design for a development works page. This one, I was planning to make a CSS theme for it and make it look like an actual sketch you could flick through. but again, couldn't get CSS to work in hotglue and I suppose this design will just have to remain a dream for now.
